Coby Dykstra
Coby Dykstra was born in South Africa, and holds a BA Languages degree from the University of Witwatersrand as well as BA Honours in Communication Science from the University of South Africa. She has been living and working in Germany for more than 16 years, and speaks English, German and Afrikaans fluently.
Coby Dykstra is a Managing Partner of Attfield Dykstra & Partners, Hamburg (Germany), a qualitative market research agency founded in January 2007. From 1996 until 2006 she was the Qualitative Manager of RMM, later Gelszus rmm Marketing Research. At RMM Coby Dykstra was instrumental in developing the company's facilities and competencies in all aspects of qualitative market research, covering a wide range of business sectors, and among both consumer and B2B target groups.
She has extensive experience of both focus group moderation and one-on-one depth interviewing. While specializing in consumer research she has also moderated a wide range of professional and specialist audiences including physicians and other healthcare professionals, engineers and business decision-makers. She has experience of the food and beverage sector, cosmetics, bodycare and beauty products, jewelry, computer games, detergents, household electronics, automobiles, medical and healthcare, IT, telecommunications and financial and business services.
Coby Dykstra has experience of researching a full range of product development and lifecycle phases, including initial concept and design testing, product testing, packaging, advertising and taste testing. She is fluent in qualitative research methods including projective techniques, category mapping, collages, laddering, shopping groups, eye tracking, ethnographic research and others.
Although based in Germany, Coby Dykstra has also moderated German-speaking groups in overseas countries and can also moderate in English.
