Deborah Johnson-Hall
Deborah Johnson-Hall is owner and President of Johnson & Associates Marketing, Inc. (J.A.M.), Chicago, IL, a specialist in segmented, ethnic and urban consumer research since 1988.
Her 29 years of experience in marketing research spans a diverse array of perspectives developed in staff positions at advertising agencies, media companies, consumer promotions firms and research suppliers. For 12 years before starting her own firm, Deborah diligently served in the market research departments of leading companies such as Johnson Publishing Company (as director of research), Burrell Advertising and Communications, The Wellington Group and Segmented Marketing Services, Inc. (also as director of research).
Her client experience includes Procter & Gamble, Ortho-McNeil, Motorola, Ameritech, Coca-Cola USA, McDonald's, Taco Bell, Hardee's, Kraft General Foods, Luster Products Company, Helene Curtis, American Express Financial Advisors, Ford Motor Company, Better Homes & Gardens, Chicago Department of Public Health, National Academies Press, The Art Institute of Chicago, The State of Illinois and Voices for Illinois Children- to name only a few.
With well-honed expertise and skills in study design, project management, research analysis, moderating, and report writing, Deborah has made significant contributions to the marketing industry by helping clients expand their corporate knowledge-base and improve the results of their marketing and communications strategies among ethnic and urban consumers.
Deborah is a native Chicagoan who did her baccalaureate degree work at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in journalism. She is the mother of three, a volunteer coach for a high school cheerleading squad and is active in educational, civic and church activities in her community.
